Furthermore, LIFE Detox Patches™ do not deliver any drug or chemical into the body; they work topically with natural herbs to stimulate the body's acupuncture points and meridians to encourage the elimination of harmful body toxins. You do not need to take a pill, ingest any mixture, or follow a special diet. However, should you experience any discomfort while using LIFE Detox Patches™, you can simply remove the patches and discontinue use if desired. Feel free to consult with our one of our customer service representatives about your experience or if you have any questions.
This unique combination of carefully selected minerals, vinegars, and herbs takes advantage of the body's natural heat emissions (body heat) by reflecting them with a special copper shield back into the foot for improved blood circulation. This exclusive "Heat Reflector" technology thus allows you to more efficiently purge toxins out of your body and into the patches where you want them. For more information about the health benefits of this product for de- 30' toxifying the body, view the entries for "Heavy Metals" in the Resources _ section. n a > How Do LIFE Detox Patches™ Work?
Depending upon your symptoms and health condition, your therapist may choose to add herbs, ozone, or special enzymes to the water to increase the benefits of the therapy. As the water flows through your colon, it causes the muscles to contract and expand, encouraging the body to expel any undigested food, water, bacteria, gas, and mucous that have built up in the colon. This compacted toxic matter leaves your body by traveling through a separate evacuation tube leading back to the machine.

The popularity of stimulant laxatives stems from the fact they start working in a matter of hours.
If you do however decide to use herbal laxatives, make sure the herbs are organically certified. Are Enemas Effective for Cleansing the Colon? Enemas are one of the oldest known techniques for cleansing the colon and treating constipation. People all over the world have used this technique for centuries. Fig. XIII: Enema Bag Kit enemas. The efficacy of external medicine Many herbs and medicines throughout the centuries have been used externally. For example, you can chew up comfrey leaves, make a paste, apply that paste to a broken bone, and it will help that bone heal more quickly. herbs do get absorbed through the skin. Lots of things get absorbed through the skin. Medically speaking, this is one pathway through which the body can ingest healthy, healing rainforest botanicals. In fact, the skin is the single largest organ on or in your body.

This simple change in equipment suddenly made the procedure acceptable to conventional medicine. herbs taken orally are useless, they say, but herbs that are surgically injected into tumors represent "good science," it seems. You see, modern medicine likes to make things really technical and overly complicated, and it hates to give credibility to anything that's really simple, because then people could have access to their own medical cures.

Chinese herbal medicine, as you probably know, relies a lot on the synergy of herbs and different energies that the herbs produce. So the Blood Sugar Balance is unique in that it only has five ingredients. But what we've found is that those five ingredients in Chinese medicine work very, very well for balancing blood sugar. It's not a diabetic formula or a hypoglycemic formula; it's a blood sugar balancer, to bring either high blood sugar down or low blood sugar up. Mike: That's actually quite typical of Chinese medicine.

Berberine Berberine, found in herbs such as goldenseal, Oregon grape and barberry, has been found to possess anti-meta-static (anti cancer-spreading) properties by inhibition of collagen degradation surrounding lung tumors. It is known as a red wine molecule, though it can be consumed as a dietary supplement.

So we'll look at a condition like diabetes, for example, and look at when you use, say, the herbs, when you use the nutrients, when you use the drugs, how the drugs and herbs interact with each other, and provide an integrated care profile so that we can provide the best quality care for our patients. Mike: So, let me ask you about, in the headlines recently, we've seen about other medical journals, this controversy about, now I think 11 of them are saying they're only going to print studies from companies that are willing to print all of the studies.

FDA list of herbs that are generally recognized as safe (GRAS). During the early 1980s, there was an isolated report of anaphylactic (allergic) shock possibly related to chamomile tea consumption; subsequently, warnings about chamomile were issued by the FDA. However, millions of people consume chamomile each year, and only live documented cases of chamomile allergy have been reported. In each of these cases, the individual experiencing the allergic reaction recovered completely.21 Some sources caution people who suffer from allergies to ragweed or other aster family plants to avoid chamomile.

The Amazon Herb company has long offered these same herbs in tincture format, but in order to take a large dose of these herbs, you had to drink more than a few shots of alcohol at the same time. And personally, I don't drink alcohol recreationally, so I'm no fan of it. In fact, the Amazon tinctures were the only source of alcohol in my diet. But I'm happy to say goodbye to the alcohol shots and move up to the Liquizon capsules, which I've found I'm actually enjoying. The Illumination capsules, for example, actually taste good!

It acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used with them. Cayenne is very rich in vitamins A & C, has the complete B complexes, and is very high in organic calcium and potassium, which is one of the reasons it is good for the heart. Cayenne has been known to stop heart attacks within 30 seconds (a teaspoon of Cayenne extract in a glass of hot water every 15 minutes until the crisis has passed). Pitta types may not benefit as much from red pepper as Vata and Kapha types. Cloves—Nature's Pharmacy Cloves have warming, antibacterial and antiseptic properties.
Recommended dressings include lemon juice or Balsamic vinegar with sunflower, sesame or olive oil for Vata types, almond or rice milk with sunflower or olive oil and a very small amount of lemon juice for Pitta types, or a little sunflower oil with herbs and spices and a very small amount of lemon juice for Kapha types. Vatas and Kaphas are better off eating small portions of salad, whereas Pittas may eat a larger amount. Note: Avoid adding any cooked items, such as beans or chicken, to the salad, even if they are cold. Nuts are better added to stages B or C, if desired.
Add fat or oil, spices, herbs, salt, and/or other condiments. Do not eat stage D foods more often than 1-2 times per week. Important for non vegetarians: Stages C and D should be omitted if you include animal protein in your meal. Animal protein and starch foods, such as meat and potatoes, or fish and rice, cannot be digested properly when eaten at the same meal. Meat, for example, requires acid secretions, whereas potatoes require alkaline secretions to digest them. When eaten in one meal, these secretions neutralize one another, and the food remains mostly undigested.
To make the vegetables more digestible and delicious-tasting, add spices and herbs such as turmeric, coriander, cumin, cardamom, fennel, basil, oregano and thyme. (See your food chart for those best for you.) Add about 1-2 teaspoons of fat per serving such as coconut oil, olive oil, butter, or another oil that is compatible with your body type. Adding some unrefined salt and perhaps a small piece of vegetable bouillon, coconut milk, or other natural condiment will further enhance the flavor of the vegetables.

REPPED: The Amazon Herb Company, an innovator in rainforest botanicals, has launched an innovative line of highly-concentrated rainforest herbs in a hybrid delivery system that combines the power of liquid herbs with the convenience of vegetarian capsules. The new line, called "Liquizon," replaces the company's existing line of encapsulated herb powders.
You can take these herbs and benefit from them without having to taste them if you don't want to. There are two other major advantages worth noting. The liquid forms of these herbs are far more potent than the powders, and they're much easier to assimilate. There's virtually no digestion required at all, and with so many people suffering from weakened digestion and suboptimal gastric acid production, this is a very important point. In the Liquizon format, these products go to work right away, even if you don't have the best digestion.

Wall Street Journal May 26, 2002] Still a mystery Since no proof existed to show that BotanicLab had purchased any of these drug molecules, the blame for adulteration was cast upon sources of the herbs in China. Chen stated that she was not personally involved in mixing the company's products, saying she was in New York conducting research most of the time, not in their Brea, California headquarters. But Chen also contradicted herself when she said she had tested the herbal products herself and they were pure prior to encapsulation.

They regularly purge their liver, kidneys, and intestines with oils, herbs, and fluids. These practices have become lost to modern societies whose main emphasis is on improving the superficial physical appearance and, in the case of an illness, fixing its symptoms rather than removing its cause. Those who have done a series of liver cleanses report that they feel much better about their body, their life, and their environment. In many cases, the person's self-esteem and ability to appreciate others improves as the body becomes increasingly purified.

Compare this to just 30 years ago, at which time it was impossible for the scientific establishment to determine exactly how many herbs promote their healing effects. Take aspirin, for example: you may be surprised to read that the main mechanism of action responsible for aspirin's anti-inflammatory effect was not understood until the early 1970s, and that its mechanism of action for pain relief has yet to be fully understood.

Moving on in the herbs category, of course there are many, many healing herbs for heart health, including herbs like garlic, onions, and juniper berries. But I think that the big solution here when it comes to avoiding atherosclerosis, and doing what many people describe as unclogging their arteries, really comes down to avoiding hydrogenated oils, fried foods, and trans fatty acids. This is a disorder for which avoidance is really the best treatment.

Vitamin D helps your body absorb all the calcium that you're getting from herbs and food plants. To get your daily dose of D, you don't have to drink vitamin-fortified milk. Your body makes its own supply of the nutrient when your skin is exposed to sunlight. If you garden, as I do, you probably get quite a bit of sunshine. For most people, 20 to 30 minutes a day is enough. More Wisdom from the Garden There is one caveat, though: You can't wear sunscreen, since it interferes with your skin's synthesis of vitamin D. So you need to be extra careful not to burn.

The number of poisonings from herbs, vitamins, and other dietary supplements increased nine-fold from 1983 to 2005. Of the 125,600 incidents reported that year, 27 ended in death. Even more worrisome is an FDA consultant's estimate that for every serious adverse event that is reported, 99 other serious events are not. How can you be cautious? You can speak with your doctor. When doctors ask patients about medicines, the patient often assumes the doctor means prescription medicines. That's only part of the story.
